Your role

  • Lead civil engineering projects, including drainage analysis, grading, civil design, and ageing management activities.
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications, engineering estimates, and proposal write-ups to support project execution and business development.
  • Deliver all engineering deliverables within defined scope, timelines, budgets, and company quality assurance requirements.
  • Review, check, and approve work completed by junior staff and designers, providing technical guidance and ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Participate in design reviews, plant walkdowns, and QA processes to support design changes and validate engineering solutions.

About you

  • Civil Engineering degree with 12+ years of civil design experience in concrete and asphalt infrastructure for nuclear power plants and/or industrial facilities; Master's degree is an asset.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada, preferably registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario, and eligible for PWGSC security clearance.
  • Strong expertise in drainage engineering, road structures, earthworks, and experience with fire protection and detection systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of Canadian and international civil codes and standards, with familiarity in nuclear QA programs, safety codes, and plant modification processes (e.g., ECC).
  • Combination of design-office and site/field experience (3–5 years on nuclear/industrial sites preferred), including ability to travel to client sites.
  • Demonstrated time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams under tight schedules and budgets.
