About you
- Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with minimum 10 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings. Master's degree and above is an asset.
- Must be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
- 3 to 5 years of site or field experience in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings is an asset.
- Must have experience with static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations.
- Deep and thorough understanding of structural engineering gained through a combination of design-office and site experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of the use of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as StaadPro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, etc.
- Knowledge of modification process of Nuclear Power Plant; ECC process or similar is an asset.
- Must have good skills in time management and setting priorities.
- Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational skills.
- Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable.
- Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.
- Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
- Travel to client sites is required.
