Due to our continuing expansion we currently have an opportunity for a Middle East Highways Principal Engineer to delivery on multi-disciplinary offshore executed projects from, Cairo.
Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world renowned consultant.
Your role
- Team leader of large design teams.
- Provide technical solutions within design teams.
- Preparing budget, resourcing and delivering to the budget and agreed time frame.
- Ultimately responsible for quality delivery.
- Produces design solutions from outline briefs and correctly interprets data and communicates it to others
- Undertake multi Discipline project management with experience of providing full project management and lead consultant duties.
- Managing own workload and the workload of subordinates within a matrix management structure.
- Active and responsible for technical growth of subordinates.
- Apply Atkins Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSSE) standards and Business Management System (CMS).
- Be highly self-motivated and ambitious
- Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the Transportation highways.
- Be able to lead or mentor the team working on the project
- Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers

About you
- Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College
- Chartered or near chartered from reputed International professional institutions
- Have relevant experience in the Middle East region of around 17 to 20 years in consultancy business working on large scale Transportation Infrastructure projects.
- Proven tack record in delivery of Expressways/ complex interchanges
- Experienced user of design software like Civil 3D, Bentley Open Road and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge in highways design codes and standards. (KSA//UAE/AASHTHO/DMRB)
- Experience implementing quality standards and procedures
- Experience in offshore delivery model, lead office interaction, client coordination and stake holder management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects
- Holds a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline
- Working as technical lead or project manager on international projects
- Multi Disciplinary project delivery.
