Your role

  • Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification, structural design, and ageing management for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry systems.

  • Develop and prepare engineering calculations, design documents, and complete engineering packages, using tools such as ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and SSASI.

  • Lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements.

  • Deliver all assigned engineering deliverables within scope, schedule, budget, and QA requirements, supporting project objectives.

  • Provide technical direction, review, and quality oversight

About you

  • Civil Engineering degree with 7+ years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures for nuclear power plants and/or industrial facilities; Master's degree is an asset.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada, preferably registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario, and eligible for PWGSC security clearance.

  • Strong expertise in static, dynamic, and seismic analysis of structures and foundations, supported by both design-office and site experience (3–5 years site experience preferred).

  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, and similar industry-standard tools.

  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian and international civil/structural codes and standards, with familiarity in nuclear QA programs, safety codes, and plant modification processes (e.g., ECC).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and budgets, with strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and effectiveness in multidisciplinary team environments, including willingness to travel to client sites.
