Overview

The Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out all surveying activities related to bridge and infrastructure construction works on the Projects. The role involves providing accurate site measurements, setting out works, verifying construction alignment and levels, conducting as-built surveys, and supporting project teams to ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Your role

Surveying & Setting Out

  • Perform site surveys, control point establishment, and setting out for bridge and infrastructure works.
  • Conduct horizontal and vertical alignment checks for bridges, roads, retaining walls, culverts, and associated structures.
  • Set out foundations, pile locations, abutments, piers, bridge decks, utility corridors, and roadway elements.
  • Verify coordinates, levels, dimensions, and structural positioning before and during construction activities.
  • Ensure survey control networks are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Construction Support

  • Provide survey support to construction, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Monitor construction tolerances and ensure compliance with approved design requirements.
  • Assist in resolving field measurement discrepancies and coordinate with design and site teams.
  • Prepare and validate as-built surveys for completed construction works.
  • Support progress measurement and quantity verification activities.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate survey records, reports, and documentation.
  • Verify contractor survey submissions and provide technical recommendations as required.
  • Support quality inspections and audits related to survey activities.

Technology & Data Management

  • Operate and maintain survey equipment including:
    • Total Stations
    • GPS/GNSS Systems
    • Digital Levels
    • Laser Scanners (where applicable)
  • Process field survey data and produce survey reports, drawings, and coordinate files.
  • Utilize survey software and CAD platforms for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of all survey information generated on site.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Adhere to all project HSE requirements and safe working practices.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and project safety initiatives.
  • Ensure surveying operations are conducted safely in active construction environments.

About you

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional surveying certification or registration is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of surveying experience within major civil infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated bridge construction experience.
  • Previous experience on GCC or KSA projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with international consultants, contractors, or government infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of bridge geometry, structural alignment, and construction tolerances.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, IFC drawings, and survey control data.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
