Overview

Our Programme Management, Sustainability & Advisory (PMSA) Practice helps clients establish, transform and deliver complex programmes and projects, portfolios and organisations across the built environment. Working across public and private sector clients, we support major buildings and places, property, estates, capital investment and transformation programmes. Our work spans programme and portfolio management, assurance and compliance, business transformation, organisational performance, sustainability, decarbonisation, environmental certification, asset management and strategic advisory services.

We combine practical programme delivery expertise with consulting and advisory capability, helping clients solve complex challenges, improve performance and achieve better outcomes for the people and communities they serve. As a growing and ambitious team, we bring together programme managers, PMO professionals, sustainability specialists, advisory consultants, transformation experts and digital practitioners. We offer our people the opportunity to work on nationally significant programmes, develop new skills and play a meaningful role in shaping both client outcomes and the growth of our business.

Your role

We are seeking a Sustainability Certification Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our growing Programme Management, Sustainability & Advisory team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in decarbonisation, net zero carbon strategy, energy and sustainability consulting who wants to help clients develop and deliver practical pathways to achieving their climate and carbon reduction ambitions.

Our work spans strategic decarbonisation planning, net zero carbon roadmaps, asset and estate-wide carbon reduction programmes, retrofit strategies, whole-life carbon, energy performance improvement, sustainability advisory and funding support. We work across public and private sector clients, supporting buildings, estates, infrastructure and place-based programmes. We recognise that no candidate will possess expertise across every discipline. We are looking for individuals who bring strengths in decarbonisation and net zero advisory and are motivated to continue developing across the wider sustainability, programme management and advisory landscape.

  • You will work closely clients to develop and deliver decarbonisation strategies, net zero carbon roadmaps and investment programmes across buildings, estates and portfolios.

  • The role will involve establishing carbon baselines, identifying opportunities for carbon reduction and developing practical, evidence-based pathways that balance technical, operational and commercial considerations.

  • You will support the delivery of heat decarbonisation plans, estate-wide retrofit strategies, energy and carbon management programmes, funding applications and business cases, while analysing energy and asset data to inform recommendations and strategic decision-making.

  • You will prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations and advisory outputs, facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities, build trusted client relationships and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to help organisations translate their net zero ambitions into deliverable programmes of work.

  • You will also contribute to business development activities, support bids and proposals, help develop new service offerings, and play an active role in the growth of the Programme Management, Sustainability & Advisory team.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • We welcome applications from candidates who have experience delivering decarbonisation, sustainability or net zero carbon projects within the built environment. A degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science, building services, or a related discipline would be beneficial.

  • Professional qualifications such as Ceng and CIBSE IEMA or similar professional recognition would be advantageous but are not essential.

  • An understanding of industry standards and frameworks such as PAS 2035, the GHG Protocol, UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard and related sustainability frameworks would be beneficial.

  • Equally important is a track record of building strong client relationships, delivering successful outcomes and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
