Overview


The Workday Integrations Specialist is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of integrations between Workday, internal enterprise applications and external systems. The role provides technical expertise across inbound and outbound integrations, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data exchanges that support HR, Payroll, Finance, and other business processes.

The Workday Integrations Specialist works closely with HR, IT, business stakeholders, system architects, vendors, and project teams to deliver integration solutions that align with business requirements, enterprise standards, and operational objectives.


Your role

Responsibilities


  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations.
  • Design, configure and implement integrations using Workday integration technologies including:
  • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Core Connectors
  • Workday Studio
  • Workday Web Services (WWS)
  • REST and SOAP APIs
  • Report-as-a-Service (RaaS)
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust integration solutions.
  • Ensure integrations are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Provide day-to-day support for existing Workday integrations.
  • Diagnose and resolve integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Support Workday releases by assessing impacts, testing integrations, and implementing required updates.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve integration reliability.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to improve integration performance, stability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain integration documentation, technical specifications, process flows, and support procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners on integration deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements and provide project updates.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding integration capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

About you

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting Workday integrations.
  • Strong experience with Workday integration technologies including EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, and RaaS.
  • Experience integrating Workday with enterprise applications such as:
  • HR systems
  • Payroll platforms
  • Identity management solutions
  • ServiceNow
  • ERP systems
  • Third-party vendors
  • Experience working with XML, XSLT, JSON, REST, SOAP, and web services.
  • Understanding of integration patterns, middleware, and cloud integration platforms.
  • Experience supporting global organizations and multi-region processes is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Expertise in integration design, system architecture, and data transformation.
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll business processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Environment is a strong asset.
  • Workday Integration Certification is an asset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Takes initiative and operates with a high degree of autonomy, navigating ambiguity and driving work forward with limited direction.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimization and efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders across time zones.
