Our ED&I program is now platinum-rated!

A milestone in our ED&I journey

We're thrilled to announce that AtkinsRéalis has been awarded the prestigious Clear Assured Platinum Standard Accreditation. This recognition shows our strong dedication to putting Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at the heart of our organization. It reflects our teams' hard work, passion, and commitment and the influential voice we've cultivated within the industry.

Congratulations to our people

The journey to Platinum has been both challenging and rewarding, made possible by the collective efforts of our diverse and talented workforce. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) have been at the forefront, championing ED&I initiatives and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Their relentless advocacy and innovative programs have significantly contributed to our inclusive culture.
Explore our employee's ED&I stories.

"Through our collective efforts, we've not only met but exceeded the highest standards of diversity and inclusion, setting a new benchmark for excellence in our industry... fostering an inclusive environment where everyone's contributions are valued and respected. —Richard Robinson, President, UK & Ireland

ED&I means real impact and progress

Our approach to ED&I goes beyond policies and pledges. We're about making a tangible difference in the lives of our people and the communities we serve. From allyship programs to inclusive recruitment practices, we've seen remarkable progress:

  • Women's representation in our workforce has increased from 30.4% to 32.3%, with senior professional roles rising from 18.9% to 23.9%.
  • In 2023, we enhanced our graduate recruitment process, converting 30% of female applications into 34% offers, demonstrating our commitment to retaining and developing female talent.

Sustaining growth and influence

As we celebrate this achievement, we're also looking ahead, committed to shaping a more diverse and inclusive industry. Our upcoming ED&I initiatives will continue to address the challenges and opportunities within and beyond our organization:

  • Our regular cycle of ERG-supported events continues to address guiding issues, including parenting, women's development, pride, and neurodiversity, among others.
  • We continue to enhance diversity across our supply chain, requiring suppliers to align with our ED&I commitments, particularly regarding gender equality.

  • Levering our accreditation for industry-wide change

Our Platinum ED&I Accreditation is a call to action. We aim to use this platform to encourage industry-wide change, sharing our insights and strategies to elevate diversity and inclusion across the sector. Our supply chain initiatives, such as career development pathways for women, are ways we're extending our ED&I values to everyone we work with and rely on.

"We'll use the Platinum Accreditation to continue positively influencing our people, clients, and other organizations to improve diversity and inclusion in engineering over the long term." —Rebecca Crowther, ED&I Lead, UK & Ireland

    A future where everyone belongs

Achieving the Clear Assured Platinum Standard is a significant milestone in our ED&I journey, but our work is far from over. We remain dedicated to promoting a workplace where everyone can thrive as their authentic selves, contributing to a better future for our planet and its people.

Let's hear it for everyone at AtkinsRéalis who made this achievement possible. Together, we're engineering and delivering better towards a future that can be truly inclusive.
