Hello, I'm Amalia, a senior billing specialist at AtkinsRéalis in Romania. On my first day at the organization, I had mixed feelings— I felt a little fear but also confidence that I would be fine. And here I am. Still here after 10 years. Where did the time go? And what has kept me here for all these years? I firmly believe that I wouldn't be here, where I am today if I hadn't found joy in my work or hadn't had the opportunity to pursue my passions with enthusiasm.

10 Years at AtkinsRéalis Romania

What is the work culture like at AtkinsRéalis Romania?

Throughout my journey, I've experienced many beautiful moments—team activities, celebrations of success, Christmas parties, and team-building events. I've had the privilege of collaborating with exceptional individuals—my teammates and the management team. And the constant opportunities have kept me engaged and motivated. Of course, no journey is without its challenges. I've faced periods of stress, tight deadlines, and times when I needed to step up to help colleagues within my team and across other departments. The support and inspiration from my colleagues have been invaluable. If I had to summarize it all in three words: LIFE WORK BALANCE.

How does AtkinsRéalis Romania support training and development?

Drawing from my experience as a French language trainer, it is relatively easy to adapt and engage in various training sessions. Many of my colleagues recognize me from the billing/ process specificities trainings. I have always been willing to immerse myself in other training sessions, covering different topics related to the Billing process. My commitment to fostering a collaborative learning environment is unwavering, and I am eager to contribute wherever possible.

How does working with diverse teams enhance career growth in finance and IT?

As a process specialist, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of supervisors. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into various operational procedures and enhance my skills in process optimization. Working alongside different leaders enabled me to understand the unique challenges and expectations within the organization, ultimately contributing to undefined improvements in our workflow and efficiency.

10 Years at AtkinsRéalis Romania

What makes AtkinsRéalis a leader in advanced workplace technology?

I have witnessed significant transformations in our processes, including the introduction of a billing communication tool, that made our work more efficient and more accurately measurable, Robotic process automation (RPA) and other constant process improvements that helped us deliver quality services. I took part in numerous workshops focused on process improvement, which provided valuable insights and practical skills. It's fascinating to see how these changes have evolved over time. There have been notable changes in portfolios, leading to team modifications to optimize our operations and enhance collaboration. And we had to adapt during this transition.
