Craving a more sustainable career? Discover energy jobs in project & programme services.

Hi, I’m Carly. As the Client Director for onshore and offshore wind, my teams are at the forefront of some of the world's most pioneering projects. We support leading offshore wind developers by delivering project management office (PMO), project management and procurement and contract management services. In collaboration with our engineering division, we also provide procurement and project management resources to onshore wind developers, as Owner’s Engineer to ensure successful project delivery.

Many of our team members bring extensive experience in wind and energy projects. We're also welcoming a wave of professionals pursuing new careers in energy – people with major programme experience who are transitioning into the renewables sector and applying their transferable skills to help drive the future of sustainable energy.

In this blog, I answer the questions I'm most often asked about working here at AtkinsRéalis…

What are the benefits of a career in energy?

The energy sector is constantly changing, especially with the global push to accelerate the transition to net zero. This means there's always something new to learn and fresh challenges to tackle. Whether you're just starting out or looking to transition into a career in energy, it offers a future-proof path and opportunities to be at the forefront of innovation and technology while benefiting from diverse career paths and long-term job security.

How can I use my project skills to positively impact sustainability?

Working in renewable energy allows me to contribute directly to tackling climate change and promoting sustainability. I enjoy being a part of that and the energy transition to net zero – I know I'm making a significant impact for our planet and our communities. I particularly enjoyed working on the first-ever offshore wind farm off the coast of Poland in the Baltic Sea for Baltic Power, which, when in operation, will power up to 150 million homes. View our inspiring energy projects.
