Job Summary:

Atkins Realis, a leading consultancy and design firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Inspector in Architecture to join our dynamic team in the UAE. This pivotal role involves overseeing architectural quality and compliance on site, ensuring that design standards and project specifications are met throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Inspection & Supervision: Conduct detailed inspections of construction sites to ensure architectural designs are implemented correctly. Verify that all work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Consultancy Expertise: Provide expert architectural consultancy services, offering professional advice and guidance on design issues, construction methods, and compliance with local building codes and standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess the quality of materials and workmanship. Identify and address any deviations from the architectural design or quality standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, including observations, issues, and resolutions. Document progress and ensure that all required records are accurately maintained and submitted.
  • Coordination & Communication: Liaise with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. Resolve any architectural-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Stay updated with changes in building codes and regulations.
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor junior inspectors and provide training as needed to ensure high standards of inspection and compliance are maintained across the team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in architectural inspection, with a strong background in site supervision and consultancy. Proven track record of managing complex projects and ensuring high-quality standards.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of architectural design, construction methods, and building codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or professional memberships (e.g., RIBA, AIA) are advantageous.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working on high-profile or large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with the UAE building codes and regulations.
  • Multicultural and multi-disciplinary experience.
