1. You'll get to work on major UK projects
AtkinsRéalis has given me many opportunities to work on some of the UK's largest infrastructure projects throughout my career..
Early on, I was Site Supervisor on the Belfast Sewers Project and, more recently, Design Manager for Roads and Networks at Hinkley Point C. I've found myself walking across a field in the Highlands of Scotland one week and looking into a sewer in Belfast the next.
2. You'll enjoy exposure to high-profile clients
I have focused on delivering multi-disciplinary projects to budget, cost and programme for various clients and contractors across water, power, roads, and infrastructure industries.
Some clients I’ve worked with include; NI Water, Irish Water, NNB, Babcock, Scottish Water, and Southern Water..
3. You'll feel proud to work for a leading consultancy
I've represented AtkinsRéalis at multiple national and international industry conferences in Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
At these conferences, I have showcased exemplary projects I've worked on, identifying AtkinsRéalis as an industry leader,
Whether it’s our focus on sustainability and innovation on groundbreaking projects, or our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, there’s a lot to make you proud of working here.
4. There can be the opportunity to work globally
Working for a global company like AtkinsRéalis, I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel extensively during my career. This is by no means a given, but it can be an opportunity for some depending on the role you’re in.
This has included multiple visits to our Global Technology Centre in India to work with and develop the skills of the local team in Bangalore.
I have also travelled to Qatar, Dubai, Canada, and the USA to aid project delivery, and I joined the AtkinsRéalis Ireland team for two years on secondment.
5. You'll have great opportunities to explore different career directions
The best thing about working at AtkinsRéalis is the multiple opportunities available at all levels. You can work in different sectors, develop your site experience on globally recognized infrastructure projects, and always receive ongoing support with your career development.
Many of the AtkinsRéalis graduate schemes accept applications from non-engineering degrees too so are open to a wide range of disciplines.
