Level up your career in infrastructure service management at AtkinsRéalis

Hello, I'm Justin. As Associate Director of Project and Programme Services at AtkinsRéalis, I work on complex projects in the highways and infrastructure sectors whilst also leading a team of people who support our clients on various commissions. My role is to ensure these projects run smoothly – I manage the contracts, help teams stay on track, run proof of concept trials and deal with things like risk governance, and any challenges that crop up along the way.

Why do I work at AtkinsRéalis?

AtkinsRéalis is a prestigious brand that is attractive to our clients. They look to us to bring not only our knowledge, skill, and experience but also the vast expertise we have and can utilize through the global AtkinsRéalis network. This keeps me in the dynamic zone, constantly thinking about what I am delivering now and the added value I can bring to the organisation and our clients. More reasons people love working here.

What roles and sectors do project service managers work in at AtkinsRéalis?

I have been commissioned to work for Suffolk County Council as a service manager, where I've led and supported the mobilization of the highways' term maintenance contracts. I've also acted as service manager for the Streetlighting, Intelligent Traffic Services and the Gull Wing Bridge contracts. I'm particularly proud of the excellent feedback I received from the client, along with two Suffolk County Council's Growth awards – one for successfully delivering a Find & Fix proof-of-concept trial and another for my work advocating mental health and wellbeing. Tell us some more about exciting opportunities on the Sizewell C project

Sizewell C is a nuclear power station project in the UK, located in Suffolk, England. It is part of the UK's efforts to develop low-carbon energy sources and reduce dependency on fossil fuels. Ultimately, it will help the UK achieve its net zero target by contributing to 10% of the country’s power needs once constructed. The project involves the construction of a new nuclear power station, where two other stations are currently operational. Our project manager roles support the project in achieving its time, cost, and quality objectives, making it a challenging & rewarding role and excellent opportunity for professional growth. How does AtkinsRéalis support employees with disabilities?

As a disabled person with two conditions affecting my spine and, therefore, my mobility, I was particularly impressed during the hiring process with how proactive AtkinsRéalis was in listening to my needs and not just considering but offering up reasonable adjustments that would enable me to be effective in what I deliver for the organisation. I was welcomed with open arms into the Enable Employee Resource Group (ERG), which champions the issues for people with disabilities, impairments, or health conditions. I was recently asked to share my experiences in a nationwide wellbeing moment to help educate colleagues at all levels and break down barriers in the disability journey as I see it. I received nothing but support and congratulations for leading this discussion. Read more about our ERGs.
