Assistant Technical Manager

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager - Structural - to join our Middle East, Design & Engineering delivery team. This role involves leading BIM/CAD teams, managing complex packages of work with minimal supervision, and supporting project delivery through technical excellence and leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a people, process, and tools-focused professional, committed to driving quality and innovation in design, delivery, and digital practices. The opportunities we offer are varied in terms of size and responsibility levels, ranging from delivering our consultancy services to working directly with client organizations to support their projects and programs.

Atkins Global Technology Centre (GTC) is seeking to appoint a Technical Manager (Revit-Civil Structures) to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore, India.

Your role

  • Responsible for the completion of assigned information management tasks.
  • Develop and implement Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP).
  • Set up and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
  • Manage interoperability, QA/QC protocols, and structured data exchange across platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards and collaborative project environments.
  • Coordinate with design, document control, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
  • Maintain model registers and oversee structured information creation and exchange.
  • Produce Revit models independently in coordination with Architecture and MEP teams.
  • Develop General Arrangements, Sections, and Detail drawings for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
  • Works alongside BIM leads to integrate outcomes and link information delivery with design delivery.
  • Assign and monitor tasks related to information workflows and detailing.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards and client requirements.
  • Support planning, budgeting, and scheduling of information management tasks.
  • Implement and enforce CAD/BIM standards across the team
  • Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks within time and cost.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Remains accessible for communication with others.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks of self and team members to deadlines.
  • Continuously seeks new and efficient ways to perform tasks and deliver higher-quality work.
  • Controls the technical quality of the team's'output.
  • Acts as both a team member and a leader.
  • Promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Adjusts priorities to meet team goals and project demands.
  • Participates actively in team and company initiatives.
  • Willingness to share information and knowledge with team members.

About you

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 15+ years of experience in multi-disciplinary project delivery. Strong background in Civil Structural engineering, digital workflows, and BIM processes. Proven leadership in managing teams and mentoring junior staff. Clear understanding of international BIM standards (UK PAS1192, ISO19650).
