Mechanical Tooling Analyst

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Overview

Join a team that is shaping the future of engineering in the nuclear industry. As a Mechanical Tooling Analyst, you will contribute to major refurbishment projects supporting the life extension of CANDU reactors around the world. Working within the Retube Tooling group, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to deliver innovative tooling solutions that enhance reactor performance and reliability.

Your Role

  • Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable Engineering and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Maintain required training, qualifications, and certifications to support project needs.
  • Produce accurate, high‑quality engineering deliverables that meet organizational standards with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare route sheets and engineering documentation for nuclear tooling.
  • Implement tooling updates and modifications using OPEX insights, design feedback, and lessons learned.
  • Support Engineering Change Notices by preparing technical inputs, design revisions, and documentation.
  • Assist with testing and verification activities, including FAT execution and contaminated tooling testing.

About You

  • Ability to apply mechanical engineering knowledge gained through a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, or an equivalent technical diploma.
  • Aptitude for mechanical assembly, testing, and repair within nuclear tooling environments.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for part modeling, assemblies, drawings, and configuration management.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and support multiple technical projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and travel to project sites as required.
