Overview
Currently we are looking for technically qualified professional rail drainage engineer to lead the end-to-end delivery of drainage and flood-risk solutions across trackside, station, and depot projects that comply sustainability and meet environmental regulatory requirements. This role offers to provide technical leadership, manage multi-D teams and programme delivery, collaborate with various stakeholders, and also support business requirements.

- Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed designs, calculations, specifications, and documentation.
- Apply SuDS design principles and stormwater management solutions.
- Design and check pavement for rural and urban roads.
- Lead stormwater drainage projects and act as discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Develop and inspect hydraulic models; optimize storm drainage schemes.
- Promote sustainable, low-carbon designs aligned with NetZero goals.
- Coordinate across disciplines, LPOs, and clients.
- Use CDE tools like ProjectWise, BIM 360, MS Teams, SharePoint.
- Develop/check 3D models and BIM interfaces.
- Conduct utility clash inspections and resolve clashes.
- Improve design tools and coordinate with GTC digital teams.
- Support team development and skill enhancement.
- Apply AtkinsRéalis QSE standards and Business Management System.

About you
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering from a reputed institute.
- 10+ years in Water & Wastewater Industry.
- Experience in wet utilities design (storm, foul water, potable water, TSE) for UK, Ireland, Middle East, etc.
- Familiarity with international codes (US, Canada, UK, Middle East preferred).
- Experience in major infrastructure projects (Master Plan, Concept, Detailed Design).
- Proficiency in software: InfoDrainage, CausewayFlow, MicroDrainage, CivilStorm, SewerGEMS/WaterGEMS, PCSWMM.
- BIM tools: Civil3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads/Inroads/MX Road, Revit, Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of work procedures and ability to brief teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new tools and processes.
- Effective collaboration with colleagues, seniors, and clients.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent).
