AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. seeks Senior Engineer I in Tampa, FL: Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of engineering calculations, conducting field observations, conducting water quality assessments, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions. Prepare assigned sections of reports working under the close review of a more experienced professional. Perform data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations. Prepare material for drafting proposals, work progression documents, graphic presentations, permit applications and technical reports. Support planning & management of water resources and infrastructure projects for municipal, state and federal water related authorities. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic design & analysis to support projects related to flood control design, watershed management, storm water master-planning, roadways drainage, FEMA map revision studies applying programs such as ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, Microstation, and AutoCAD. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on water resources and infrastructure projects and coordinate with project managers, project engineers, clients, regulatory authorities and subcontractors. Coordinate the work of others who assist in specific assignments. Interface with technical professionals and technical managers. Under supervision, interacts with external contacts and agency staff.
Requirements: Master's degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Knowledge of: CAD and GIS; Hydrology and hydraulics; QGIS, ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Pro; Google Earth; HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS; and, SWMM, AutoCAD, Python and R. U.S. Professional Engineering license required. May be assigned to unanticipated work locations throughout the United States. Remote working or telecommuting permitted in all U.S. States, in accordance with company policy. Relocation to within a reasonable commuting distance of the job opportunity is required. National travel required approximately 5% of the time for meetings with clients.
