Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Structural Engineer to be based in our Cairo office, responsible for managing and reviewing all structural engineering designs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural designs, design reviews, site coordination, and regulatory compliance, particularly for projects located in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia.
Your role
- Design Review Leadership: Lead a team responsible for carrying out structural Designs, design reviews(for design submissions by consultants/specialist subconsultants etc.)
- Technical Guidance: Resolve complex structural engineering issues and provide expert advice to project teams.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to international and local building codes and standards.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports and progress updates for internal and client stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify structural risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Site Operations Oversight: Remotely monitor and support structural works at Middle East sites to ensure compliance with approved designs and standards.
- RFI Management: Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors and consultants in a timely and technically sound manner.
- Subconsultant Coordination: Review and integrate design inputs from subconsultants to ensure consistency and quality.
- Variation Orders: Evaluate and provide recommendations on structural variation orders and change requests.

About you
- Bachelor's /Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 15–20 years of experience in structural engineering, with significant exposure to site-based roles in the Middle East.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale structural projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Saudi Arabia.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, RAMConcepts).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional registration (e.g., PE, IStructE-Chartered Engineer) is preferred.
