#HackaFuture is something new, something different. And whether you’re a student or employed, a seasoned coder or just super passionate about tech – this event is for you.
At AtkinsRéalis, we connect people, data, and technology to transform the future of clean energy. And over one weekend in Manchester, you’ll have the opportunity to join us in solving some of the biggest issues facing the planet and its people.
You’ll join one of up to 20 teams and collaborate, innovate and create solutions that deploy, process or share data - using your tech and digital skills, which may include AI, robotics, and gamification.
And the best bit - we're offering jobs to everyone on the winning team.
Alongside a competitive salary, plus a joining bonus or monthly allowance, you’ll be granted investment to develop your solution with mentorship from our digital leaders, support from our Global Technology Centre, our technology partners, and others. Tech jobs in Manchester don't usually look like this!
The event is taking place in February 2025 as part of the Digital Skills Festival brought to you by Manchester Digital, and all teams will be provided with hotel accommodation and food for the weekend.
Formal experience not required...
We're looking for your strengths and attitude rather than formal qualifications or years of experience. So if your skills or experience lie in any of the following areas and you are bold, inventive, creative, and deeply passionate about the role technology and digitalization has to play in creating a better world, you’ll fit right in.
Software engineering / Data science / AI or ML / UX or UI design / Business analysis / Agile, SCRUM, lean delivery / Cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure / Game development using Unreal Engine, Unity / Robotic technology
How tech innovation is creating a cleaner, more sustainable future
Renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydro are helping reduce the world’s consumption of fossil fuels, but they’re not always reliable (for example when the wind doesn’t blow or the sun doesn’t shine).
Nuclear energy provides a clean, constant stream of power whenever we need it and by supporting renewables, is an efficient, low-carbon and cleaner source of energy. The solutions you develop will make this future possible. Because, frankly, the time for debate is over. The world needs action, and we have the technical know-how to deliver the best low-carbon solutions for the planet's toughest challenges.
