We leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance collaboration, improve design accuracy, and optimize project delivery across the entire lifecycle—from concept and planning through construction and operation. BIM enables us to integrate civil, structural, and mechanical elements seamlessly, ensuring cost efficiency and reducing risks.
Our expertise spans:
Water Treatment Plants – Advanced design for potable and wastewater treatment facilities.
Pumping Stations & Pipelines – Reliable and efficient conveyance systems.
Reservoirs & Storage Facilities – Safe and sustainable water storage solutions.
Flood Management & Drainage Systems – Infrastructure for climate resilience.
The opportunities we offer range from consultancy services to client-side project delivery, covering diverse scales and responsibilities. We also collaborate with other parts of Atkins' Water and Environment business, supporting projects from initial feasibility studies to decommissioning and asset management.
Atkins Global Technology Centre (GTC) is seeking a Revit Designer (Structural/Civil) to join our Water Infrastructure BIM team. This role will be based at our Bangalore & Pune office, contributing to world-class projects by creating detailed 3D models, coordinating multidisciplinary designs, and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Your role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models, surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks using Autodesk Civil 3D
- Prepare 2D drawings including plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details
- Model infrastructure elements such as:
- Roads and highways
- Drainage (foul, storm, utility networks)
- Earthworks and grading
- Follow BIM Execution Plans (BEP), CAD standards, and naming conventions
- Coordinate with design engineers, BIM leads, and project managers
- Update models based on design changes and review comments
- Assist in quantities extraction and basic clash identification
- Ensure models and drawings meet quality, accuracy, and deadlines
Software Skills
- Autodesk Civil 3D (essential)
- AutoCAD
- Navisworks (basic coordination awareness preferred)
- BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (advantage)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of:
- Civil engineering drawings and construction methods
- Ability to work with:
- Survey data, point clouds, and received IFC/CAD data
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

About you
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, BIM, or related discipline
- 3–6 years of experience as a Civil 3D Modeller (flexible based on role level)
Desirable Experience
- UK infrastructure or consultancy project experience
- Experience working within ISO 19650 BIM environment
- Awareness of Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows
- Experience with client standards such as National Highways, Network Rail, or local councils
