Overview
We are seeking a Contract Administrator to join our transportation team to work and collaborate on projects related to highway, roadway and bridge construction. The successful candidate will report to the Contract Administration Lead. Our team is involved in Ministry of Transportation, York Region, Region of Peel, Durham Region, municipalities in Greater Toronto Area Road widening projects and provide inspection services on Lakeshore West Go expansion, and Ontario Power Generation.
This role will support mainly contract administration team in the Greater Toronto Area and positions are also available in Sudbury, Ontario.
Your role
- Work safely and observing / working in conformance with AtkinsRéalis and/or client requirements.
- Lead the Contract Administration for provincial and/or municipal civil infrastructure projects, including chairing site meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and maintaining regular communication with clients regarding construction progress and issues.
- Review, analyze, and monitor contractor schedules (bi-weekly and monthly), track construction progress, and identify potential schedule risks or delays.
- Prepare contract administration reports, financial analysis, monthly progress payment certificates, cost forecasts, and change order estimates; resolve construction issues through Information Requests (IRs) and Site Instructions (SIs).
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, applicable safety standards, and environmental legislation and permits.
- Maintain detailed daily project records and site diaries; supervise and direct field staff, mentor junior team members in site inspection and contract administration practices and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Utilize the Ministry of Transportation Contract Management System (CMS) for MTO assignments, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

About you
- College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Contract Administration, Construction Management, Construction Coordination or an equivalent discipline.
- Must have RCCA (Road Construction Contract Administrator) or P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) designation and be in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) as a C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist) or C.Tech. (Certified Technician); considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a clean driving record, and access to a personal vehicle.
- 5 or more years of experience working as a contract administrator.
- Must have previous experience working on MTO highway and/or municipal roadway projects.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $125,000 - $171,900 annually) (Only Applicable to Ontario). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
