Your role

  • The successful applicant will be a geotechnical engineer with a proven technical and project management track record.
  • A strong academic background with a post graduate degree in Soil Mechanics, or Foundation or Ground Engineering or Civil engineering (Geotechnical specialization) or PhD in a relevant subject.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum support from seniors.
  • With minimum 5-7 years of relevant design experience.
  • Proven experience of acting as a geotechnical engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
  • A flair for innovation.
  • A willingness to travel on short term assignments both within India and overseas.
  • Candidates will be asked to show how their experience demonstrates ability to:
  • Analytical skills to assess complex problems and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Design of modular and embedded retaining walls, slope stability analysis & pile group analysis.
  • Conversant with geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS 2D/3D, GEOSTUDIO SUITE, WALLAP or FREW, PDISP and REPUTE.
  • Experience of soil structure interaction work and numerical analysis would be an advantage.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer certification (or working towards it).
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, ports, etc.).
  • Familiarity with local geotechnical codes and international standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken English within a business environment.
