Job Title: HSE Officer – Rail Metro Projects

This role requires to support safe and compliant execution of Rail Metro Projects by implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, client standards, and company policies, while promoting a strong safety culture across project sites..
What will you do?
HSE Compliance & Implementation
- Implement project HSE plans, procedures, and company safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and statutory HSE requirements.
- Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits.
Site Safety Management
- Monitor high-risk activities including electrical works, lifting operations, work at height, confined spaces, and construction activities.
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Verify compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and safe work procedures.
Risk Assessment & Incident Management
- Support preparation of risk assessments, method statements, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and track corrective actions.
- Maintain incident records and safety statistics.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
- Promote a proactive safety culture among employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Contractor & Environmental Management
- Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Support environmental controls, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain HSE documentation, permits, inspection reports, and compliance records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSE performance reports.
Experience, Education and other Required:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification preferred.
- Overall experience of 20 years with 10 years of HSE experience in Rail Metro, Railway Electrification, Infrastructure, Construction, or EPC Projects.
- Experience working on live construction and electrical project sites.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems.
- Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Electrical, Construction, and Rail Safety requirements.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
