Join AtkinsRéalis as an Engineering or Technologist Student and kick‑start your career with hands-on experience in our Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams. Based in Vancouver, Calgary, or Winnipeg, this 8‑ or 12‑month work term offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative multidisciplinary projects across Canada while receiving training and mentorship from experienced engineering professionals. Whether your focus is mechanical or electrical engineering, you will gain meaningful exposure to real‑world design challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment.

##Your Role

• Support the delivery of mechanical or electrical design, calculations, and systems across multidisciplinary projects.
• Draft in AutoCAD or model in Revit MEP based on designer markups.
• Perform routine calculations and design tasks under the direction of senior team members.
• Assist with electrical systems design including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, and communications.
• Assist with mechanical systems design including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and equipment selection.
• Prepare and issue drawings and related documents to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to support project coordination and delivery.

##About You

• Ability to work effectively within an accredited engineering or technologist program in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Aptitude for learning drafting or modelling tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Ability to communicate clearly and coordinate within a large team environment.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Aptitude for adapting quickly and learning in a fast‑paced setting.

Expected compensation for this role is (between $50,000 - $60,000 annually). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
