Overview
AtkinsRéalis one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.
We are seeking a Resident Engineer for a high-profile road / cycling / active travel scheme in Castletymon, Co. Dublin, for an estimated 8 months, commencing at the end of 2025.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in roads/transport infrastructure. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and comfortable in working with a site team.
The role will involve site-based supervision, contract administration, stakeholder and client liaison, reporting, monitoring and inspection of construction activities.
Your role
- Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant years of experience in the civil engineering industry, including experience in the supervision & administration of Public Works Contracts for Civil Engineering Works.
- Computer literate and with experience of relevant software (AutoCAD or similar) and Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in administering contracts using the Public Works form of contracts; including processing of Valuations, and assessment of Claims.
- Experience in supervising and inspecting the construction of roadworks including pavement, drainage, ducting, signage, lighting, etc.
- Experience in the design of road / active travel schemes (desirable but not mandatory).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in record keeping and reporting on Contractor's progress.
- Ability to work as part of a team and also work independently and under own initiative to achieve project goals.
- Knowledge of current H&S regulations and best practices.
- Full driving licence and a valid SafePass.

Terms and Conditions
- Competitive salary subject to experience.
- A vehicle will be provided for the duration of the works.
- 25 days annual leave, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
- Working week of 8 hrs per day, 5 days per week; with possibility of some weekend and night works (only if and when required).
