Overview
As a Risk Manager, you will plan, coordinate and document the project risk management process. Using your strong facilitation and quantitative analysis skills, you will ensure that risks are identified, evaluated, quantified, mitigated and monitored following corporate policies and procedures.
Your role
- Provide strategic leadership and independent delivery of risk management services across complex and high‑value projects.
- Lead the development, positioning, and growth of the risk management capability within the Project Delivery Practice Commercial Team.
- Build and manage a high‑performing risk management team, providing direction, mentorship, and oversight as additional risk managers are brought into the practice.
- Secure and lead on project assignments.
- Risk Workshops:
- Lead risk workshops, develop and monitor mitigation plans with partners, align risks with schedule activities, and keep the project risk register accurate and up to date.
- Risk Reporting & Quantitative Analysis:
- Analyse risk and safety data to identify trends, strengthen reporting through statistical methods, prepare progress updates for stakeholders, generate lessons‑learned insights, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk evaluations.
- Risk Management Process Activities:
- Lead and administer the proposal and project risk management process, preparing risk management plans and ensuring alignment with best practice and corporate procedures.
- You collaborate with Engineering Risk and Insurance to define insurable risks, provide training as needed, support peer reviews, drive continuous process improvements, and use corporate systems and tools to deliver effective risk management activities.

About you
- Track record of successful delivery of risk management within the engineering and construction industry.
- Expert in risk management.
- Experience working with one or several software suites.
- Experience across a range of common forms of contract (particularly, expertise in NEC).
- Excellent analytical skills and consistent attention to detail with the ability to solve complex problems and mitigate risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication including report writing, presentations and contractual correspondence.
- Experience of leading and motivating a team within a large-scale business/project environment.
