Senior Consultant, Defence

Overview

AtkinsRéalis Australia embarks on expansion into the Defence industry, the Senior Consultant will be an integral part of enabling a Defence business in Australia. Supported by a mature global team, the successful candidate will benefit from guidance and experience of technical leads from other parts of the global business to grow the Australian business.

Your role

  • Manage all aspects of relevant consultancy assignments undertaken for clients including allocation, estimating, tendering, planning, execution and close out.
  • Develop strategies to grow AtkinsRealis's product & service range offering in Defence Consulting expertise.
  • Manage the relationship with the client organisation.
  • Ensure that work is completed in a safe and profitable manner, on time, to budget and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with AtkinsRealis's procedures, corporate requirements and systems, including the Quality Management System and the Safety Management System.
  • Providing specialist engineering guidance and expertise, including as the interface to global Subject Matter Experts.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of Defence market in Australia and associated key stakeholders would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience and competence with consulting best practice, else the ability to guide, check and approve others outputs.
  • Experience in managing teams of technical SMEs, including input from remote/global SMEs within a project delivery environment.
  • Excellent technical, project management and communication skills to manage the delivery of strategic and technical advisory engagements.
  • Demonstrable experience in nuclear implicated design and maintenance of infrastructure planning or platform systems development and optioneering (desirable, not essential).
  • Project management of resources and timelines and the ability to manage budgets.
