AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Senior Quality Manager to join our Nuclear team in Bangalore,India.

About the Team:

  • Our team within the nuclear business specialises in taking on some of the most significant engineering projects in the nuclear sector. Our business focuses on providing engineering services to the following key clients:
  • For EDF Energy in the UK and for Nawah Energy Company in the Middle East, we help ensure the on-going safe, reliable, low carbon nuclear generation of their power stations, and for EDF Energy we are helping with preparations for safe and efficient defuelling.
  • Finally, we also support other clients and parts of the AtkinsRéalis business covering the full lifecycle from new build through to deconstruction, defence, net zero energy projects to name a few.
  • The project opportunities we have are varied in size and therefore responsibility levels, from delivering our consultancy engineering services, to being embedded within the client organisation delivering their engineering projects and programmes. As such we are looking for an experience QA/QC professional.

We deliver end-to-end project solutions for all reactor technologies—from our own Candu design to new first-of-a-kind technologies—supporting all stages of the asset lifecycle:

  • OEM services.
  • Life extension services, including full mid-life refurbishment.
  • New reactor design and build.
  • Design services and licensing.
  • Engineering and project management.
  • Fuel and waste management systems.
  • Field services, tooling, and reactor components.
  • Facility and infrastructure asset management.
  • Waste management and decommissioning, including site remediation.

What You'll Be Doing:

Working within our Nuclear business sector, as Senior QA/QC Manager, you will work with teams to enable the delivery of AtkinsRéalis technical engineering projects or work directly for our key clients embedded into their major programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and improve the overarching Quality Management System for the Program, including Program and project quality management plans, procedures and processes for compliance with the ISO 9001, ISO19443 standard including performing quality audits of internal processes for compliance with the documented QMS.
  • Liaise with functional teams and Project Managers to implement the quality performance requirements for each contract delivery model and provide related quality assurance advice and interpretation.
  • Lead the review of quality management systems plans, procedures, inspection and test plans proposed by the Program's consultants, Vendors and contractors, and assess alignment with requirements including also performing quality audits of these groups.
  • Carry out vendor due diligence in location/Remotely.
  • Lead the development of Quality Surveillance plans, assignments to quality assurance monitors and review surveillance reports.
  • Support the development and reporting of quality metrics across the Projects and Program.
  • Develop and deliver training (Lunch 'n' Learn, web-based, classroom).
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on market developments.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory: Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Mandatory: Experience: 12+Years of experience in QA/QC domain in Infrastructure domain.
  • Mandatory: Nuclear projects QA/QC experience.

Experience:

Mandatory:

  • In-depth knowledge in ASME Codes and standards.
  • In-depth knowledge on ISO9001, ISO19443 and CSA standards.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in welding processes viz. SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW & Resistance Welding.
  • Qualified in ASNT Levels II and above (VT, PT,MPT,RT & UT).
  • Experience in Raw material and welding consumables inspection as per BIS, ASTM,ASME-Sec-II and according to Manufacturer's test certificate and Inspection release note for all structural and piping materials.
  • Have exposure to preparation of WPS for various welding processes and materials for piping and structures.
  • Establishing PQR for approved WPS of various materials like Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel and Dissimilar Materials.
  • Have Conducted welder qualification according to approved PQR for various materials and welding process.
  • Have been involved in Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan, Inspection Test Plan and Job Procedures with respect to contract specification and job requirement.
  • Good skills in Interpretation of radiography films for all equipment and piping joints.
  • Due diligence/Vendor qualification experience.
