Creative Design – who are we?

We are AtkinsRéalis' in-house creative and digital agency. Our multi-disciplinary team of over 80 talented professionals spans the globe and includes UX/UI designers, graphic designers, animators, visualisers, real-time specialists, and web developers. By harnessing outstanding creative, digital, and technical expertise, we transform the way our clients communicate, connect, and engage with their projects, delivering innovative solutions that bring ideas to life and create lasting impact.

You will work with the Discipline Lead – Film & Motion to define and lead the creative vision, strategic direction, and growth of the discipline across global projects and client accounts. You will ensure all work delivers exceptional creative outcomes while supporting business objectives, client growth, and commercial performance. You will drive innovation, champion the use of emerging technologies and AI, and position Film & Motion as a key differentiator within the market. Working closely with senior leaders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams, you will translate business challenges into compelling creative solutions, build high-performing teams, and establish scalable delivery models that support quality, efficiency, and long-term growth across our global network.

Your role

  • Lead the Film & Motion Vision: Define and drive the creative vision, standards, and strategic direction of the Film & Motion discipline, ensuring work is innovative, impactful, and aligned to client and business objectives.
  • Inspire and Develop Talent: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Drive Commercial Performance: Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, including project scoping, pricing, resource planning, utilisation, and profitability management.
  • Support Growth and Work Winning: Contribute to business development activities, support pipeline management, and play a leading role in pitches, proposals, and client growth opportunities.
  • Deliver Cost-Effective Solutions: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value through effective resource deployment, AI-enabled workflows, and global delivery capabilities, without compromising quality.
  • Build Strategic Client Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, developing strong partnerships and delivering Film & Motion solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Digital, Account Management, Project Management, and Production teams to deliver integrated creative solutions.
  • Ensure Excellence in Delivery: Maintain the highest standards of creative quality, ensuring projects are delivered on brand, on time, and within budget.
  • Lead Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, immersive content, and AI developments, driving innovation across the discipline.
  • Lead Film Production Delivery: Travel as required to offices and site locations to creatively direct film shoots, confidently manage senior stakeholders and contributors, and adapt effectively to changing requirements while maintaining quality, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Represent the Discipline: Lead presentations, creative reviews, and stakeholder discussions, championing Film & Motion within leadership forums and client engagements.
  • Strengthen Global Delivery: Establish effective ways of working across global teams, ensuring consistent quality, communication, and delivery excellence.
  • Champion Culture and Leadership: Actively contribute to Creative Design's vision and culture, providing inspiring leadership and supporting the growth and progression of senior team members.

About you

  • Experience of leading Film & Motion teams in a creative, agency, consultancy, or in-house environment.
  • An original portfolio of work showcasing conceptual thinking, storytelling through motion, branding, and visual innovation.
  • Commercial understanding of pricing, scoping, resource management, and profitability.
  • Expert knowledge of motion and film production tools including Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D.
  • Experience applying AI and emerging technologies within creative production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of narrative development, immersive content workflows, and 360° production pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with operational efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, finding solutions for client problems through client engagement, spotting opportunities and maximising potential.
  • Contributing to business development and digital innovation; helping to develop future work pipeline.
  • Quoting and scoping multi-discipline projects ensuring the right blend of skill sets are involved.
