Join us for France's nuclear golden era

I'm Reda, a civil/structural engineer at AtkinsRéalis in Lyon, France. I have worked for several EPC international companies in various civil engineering fields. My experience spans infrastructure, oil and gas, renewable energy, and the nuclear energy field, where I've tackled numerous challenges. I have also worked overseas as an expatriate in Russia and The Netherlands. In my blog, I share why I joined and what keeps me with AtkinsRéalis.

Why I chose AtkinsRéalis

AtkinsRéalis is a world-leading design, engineering, and project management consultancy that recently opened its offices in France. I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to expand with AtkinsRéalis, an organization that prioritizes quality. In AtkinsRéalis France, we are part of the Nuclear & Power team (N&P). More importantly, we are key stakeholders and participants in what I call the new golden nuclear era in France.

The Nuclear Silicon Valley of France

Our office is located in the heart of the city center. Lyon is becoming the "Nuclear Silicon Valley of France" and regrouping all the main stakeholders of France's nuclear future. In Lyon, we collaborate closely with our clients and are building a team that will play an essential role in bringing our most exciting nuclear projects to reality.

I enjoy the multicultural environment

At AtkinsRéalis, it does not matter which background you come from. We have multi-national people working as a team, which allows everyone to develop valuable intercultural skills. I have worked in various cultural environments where everyone learns from each other and truly enjoys it. Furthermore, working at AtkinsRéalis, an international organization, means interacting daily with businesses and people worldwide.

AtkinsRéalis France is engineering a better future

Our jobs as civil engineers impact people's lives directly to help us shape a better future. Particularly, in AtkinsRéalis France, within N&P, we are working on the French market to help France maintain and build its new nuclear power plants and thus make the cost of electricity affordable for everybody. We are also engineering a clean future without fossil fuels and helping France achieve its net zero targets.

Enjoying work/life balance through flexible working

AtkinsRéalis, we prioritize well-being in our workplace, as this can help us prevent stress and create positive working environments where individuals and organizations can thrive. AtkinsRéalis has one of the best work flexibilities I have ever seen. Some of the benefits include working remotely and working flexible hours.
