Transforming nuclear in the heart of Paris

Hello. I'm Larisa, a civil engineer at AtkinsRéalis. As an experienced professional, I built my career tackling challenging infrastructure projects. I later expanded into the nuclear field with AtkinsRéalis. In my blog, I share how my team and I at AtkinsRéalis France are engineering a better future through a wide range of exciting projects.

Shaping a sustainable future in Paris

Atkins Realis Paris is located in La Défense, Tour CB21, a strategic spot with convenient metro access, making every commute easy. I'm currently working on a nuclear project in the conceptual design phase. My daily work involves close collaboration with the client and other partners. It's both motivating and challenging to consider the constraints of various disciplines beyond civil engineering right from the beginning of the project.

Why I chose AtkinsRéalis in France

I learned about AtkinsRéalis France from a good friend and didn't hesitate to join AtkinsRéalis Paris right away. A colleague once said to me, "We innovate together. Our answer is better than my answer," and I believe this perfectly captures what it means to work at AtkinsRéalis. Collaborating and growing together while engineering a better future is what drives me. We embrace each other's unique contributions to achieve outstanding results.

At AtkinsRéalis, we also have the chance to participate in various influential events. Last year, I attended major industry events, including the World Nuclear Exhibition and AFTES—the French Tunneling and Underground Space Association. These gatherings significantly impact the field and provide opportunities to connect with partners, clients, and colleagues worldwide.

Different makes a difference at AtkinsRéalis

AtkinsRéalis has launched a global equality, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) programme. Its goal is to eliminate barriers at all levels and regions by promoting change through trusted and inclusive leadership, boosting female representation throughout our organization, and expanding our talent pool to include all underrepresented groups. This initiative is supported by innovative learning opportunities that unlock potential, providing our clients with world-class expertise.

I encourage everyone interested in science and technology not to be discouraged by stereotypes. Consider careers in these fields and join AtkinsRéalis in combating stereotypes together.

How we make work/life better

The organization prioritizes employee wellbeing and mental health by supporting flexible working hours. Having the choice and control over my working patterns plays a big part in keeping me motivated and fulfilled.
