Yes girl, you're our digital future

Welcome back to our Digital Her blog series! As Digital Her sponsors, we're committed to empowering young women like you to pursue careers in digital and tech. We aim to break down barriers and create opportunities that inspire the next generation of female tech leaders. Our Industry Insight Days are essential to this mission, providing students a firsthand look at what a career at AtkinsRéalis can offer.

What's an AtkinsRéalis Industry Insight Day?

It's a unique chance to spend a day at our offices, immersing yourself in the industry. We pack these days with interactive activities, engaging sessions, and opportunities to meet various professionals from our organization. Through cybersecurity-based games, online escape rooms, and self-reflection exercises, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the industry and a clearer vision of potential career paths that really interest you.

What to expect on your Industry Insight Day

We begin with interactive activities—which are relaxed and plenty of fun. Our in-house cybersecurity games challenge students to think critically and collaborate to solve problems. Online escape rooms offer an engaging way to develop strategic thinking and teamwork skills. Self-reflection exercises empower you to recognize your strengths and areas for growth, reinforcing our belief that you are the expert of yourself and your potential. These activities spark conversation and help students reflect on their starting points and growth by the end of the day.

Meet team members who stood in your shoes

One of the most memorable aspects of our Industry Insight Days is meeting various people from our organization. From apprentices, graduates, and placements to senior executives, students will hear diverse stories about career paths and roles with us. These sessions are often the most inspiring, as they show you what your next steps could be and how you might progress in your career!

You'll get to use real-world skills

Throughout the day, participants engage in activities that develop workplace skills like ideating, designing, responding to feedback, presenting, and teamwork. For example, students who attended highly praised our interactive exercise on commercial awareness and strategy skills. These hands-on experiences are invaluable in preparing you for the realities of working in digital and tech spaces.

Reflecting on your career road ahead

At the end of the day, we invite you to reflect on what you've learned. This helps consolidate your experiences and think about the next steps in your career journey.

Discover why you'll love working with us

We also take time to highlight what makes our organization special. From inspiring projects and charity initiatives to our commitments to green practices and inclusivity networks, we want participants to see everything we can offer you. We'll show you why our organization is a great place to work and how it aligns with the values of many young people today.
