Australia's rail sector is forecast to grow 7% annually to AUD 107 billion from 2024 to 2032, opening up new business opportunities.

Drive railway transformation with AtkinsRéalis projects

At AtkinsRéalis, we're at the forefront of this transformation. We combine traditional engineering with cutting-edge digital technology to create safer, more efficient, and more sustainable railway networks.

One of our most ambitious projects to date is the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport, a transformative A$11 billion driverless railway set to redefine public transport in the region. As the Integrated Delivery Partner, we are leading project integration and delivering key mandates for this 23km rail line, which will connect six new stations with major job hubs and the new Western Sydney International Airport.

Additionally, we are providing ongoing operations and maintenance support for the Cross River Rail project—a 10.2km rail line featuring 5.9km of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and Brisbane CBD.
