This is a key part of the selection process, so it’s important to take it seriously - your performance will help determine whether you move forward. You’ll only have one opportunity to complete it, so find a quiet space, go through the introduction guidelines, and take on board the advice provided.

What to Expect

Part One: You’ll complete a mix of situational judgement, numerical, and verbal reasoning questions. It’s not timed, but most people take around 30 minutes. Make sure you’re in a quiet space and ready to focus.

Review Stage: Once you’ve completed Part One, we’ll review your responses against the criteria for the role you’ve applied for. If you meet the requirements, you’ll be invited to Part Two.

Part Two: You’ll be presented with two short questions as written prompts on screen. You’ll record your responses using your device’s camera - there’s no live interaction. Before you begin, you’ll have the opportunity to rehearse or try a practice example, so you know what to expect. Once you start recording each answer, you’ll only have one chance to submit it.

What you’ll need:

Camera - You'll need one to record your responses. You can use a computer, phone or tablet. If you do not have access to these devices please consider utilising your local library, school or university facilities.

Make sure you come prepared with some great questions to ask the team about how they work and what to expect day to day. For the summer placement roles you won’t be required to do an interview, we’ll use your application and online immersive assessment information to consider your suitability.

If you’ve had an interview we'll let you know as soon as possible if you've been successful in securing a position.

Please do get in touch if you require any adjustments or if there are any requirements or accessibility needs that we need to consider please let us know when confirming your attendance.

Use of generative AI

We acknowledge the advancement of generative AI and the opportunities it brings to our daily lives and you can use these tools, should you wish to, to prepare for your interview. However these tools must not be used during the assessment and interview process, as we want to hear your authentic ideas which are more valuable to us than perfectly crafted responses. Instead rely on your own knowledge, experiences and thoughts when responding to questions. Integrity is one of our core values and we ask you to demonstrate your integrity during the process.
