Join a team shaping the future of airport infrastructure across Canada and beyond. As part of our Engineering Services group, our Airports team delivers innovative planning, design, and engineering solutions for runways, aprons, and complex airside rehabilitation projects.

Based in Alberta, this opportunity lets you contribute to impactful engineering work that enhances airport safety, efficiency, and long‑term performance while collaborating with dedicated professionals committed to excellence and innovation.

Your role

  • Act as a civil designer and/or Project Manager for airfield infrastructure projects.

  • Apply advanced civil engineering principles to runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, site servicing, grading, earthworks, and stormwater management.

  • Oversee the development of figures, design drawings, specifications, calculations, cost analyses, quantity take‑offs, and technical documents.

  • Maintain current knowledge of Transport Canada, ICAO, and FAA standards and integrate them into design activities.

  • Use Civil 3D and AviPLAN tools to support civil layout, modelling, and airside planning.

  • Provide engineering support during construction, including reviews, field observations, and quality control assessments.

  • Support project management, proposal development, business development, and client relationship activities.

About you

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and be registered as a P.Eng in at least one Canadian province, with the ability to obtain registration in others as needed.

  • Ability to demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of relevant civil airfield engineering or project management experience.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and FAARFIELD software; knowledge of PAVER considered an asset.

  • Aptitude for applying TP312, FAA, and ICAO standards in engineering analysis and design.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; French proficiency considered an asset.
