Overview

The Electrical Site Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on a mission‑critical data center development in Kuala Lumpur. This role ensures that all electrical work comply with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements, while supporting seamless delivery in a high‑availability environment.

Your role

Site Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise daily electrical construction activities including installation of LV/MV systems, power distribution, grounding, UPS, switchgear, and lighting.
  • Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and ELV teams to ensure smooth progress and clash-free installation.
  • Monitor subcontractors' work quality and productivity; escalate any deviations or risks.
  • Oversee cable routing, cable tray installation, and equipment mounting for data center electrical systems.

Technical & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct inspections to verify compliance with industry standards, local Malaysian regulations, and client quality requirements.
  • Review technical documents, shop drawings, and material submissions.
  • Support FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.
  • Track and close NCRs, site observations, and punch-list items.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to project safety plans, PTW procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Identify site hazards and enforce corrective actions.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Liaise with project engineers, consultants, main contractors, and client representatives.
  • Prepare daily site progress reports and manpower tracking.
  • Attend site coordination meetings.

About you

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical construction supervision experience.
  • Experience in Data Center, Mission-Critical, or Industrial Facilities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, UPS, generators, and electrical distribution.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and QA/QC principles.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance adherence.
