Overview

We are seeking to recruit a Senior CDM Consultant with experience of large infrastructure projects to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join a team of high perfroma and experienced CDM consultant to work on one of the country's largest infrastructure projects on a full-time basis. Your role

The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services, experience of delivering additional associated Health & Safety Services will be an advantage.

You will be responsible for delivering services across a number of projects of a varying nature connected to our client which will be required to comply with all relevant UK legislation and our clients procedural requirements. You can be based from one of our many offices in the UK however there will be a requirement to visit the site 1 to 2 days per week in East Anglia.

  • Providing Client CDM compliance services
  • Providing Principal Designer Services under CDM2015
  • Production of pre-construction information, files and other associated CDM documents in line with regulations and client procedural requirements
  • Ensuring Designer compliance with CDM Regulations
  • Reviewing contractors documentation – including Construction Phase Plans, Strategies and procedures
  • Attending client meetings, design team meetings and design risk workshops
  • Conducting and chairing design risk review workshops with technical design teams
  • Conducting site H&S'inspections/audits
  • Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues
  • Pro-active in business development of the Services within the Region
  • Keep updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.

About you

We require a consultant with suitable and relevant experience, ideally from a design or construction background.

Technical

  • Chartered/Professional Qualification in Design or Construction
  • NEBOSH qualified (minimum Construction Certificate)
  • Preferable Chartered Member status of APS / IOSH / CIOB / CABE / RIBA
  • Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS 360: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM 2015 and other Health & Safety issues
  • H+S Training capability may be an advantage
  • Ability to understand and implement client compliance procedures in technical construction environment

The Person

  • Strong Communication skills - experience of communicating with people at differing levels effectively through oral and written communication
  • Client facing skills - experience of working with clients at a strategic/operational level and managing the relationships effectively
  • Strong Planning and Organising skills - able to prioritise workload and deadlines and manage change effectively
  • Effective problem resolution skills - solution orientated with the ability to manage problems and complaints assertively
  • Team work skills - ability to work with others to achieve team and personal targets or objectives
