Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Plant 3D & BIM Information Manager to join our Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Mumbai.. The Plant 3D & BIM Information Manager is responsible for leading Autodesk Plant 3D and BIM-based information management across complex industrial projects, ensuring accurate, data-driven model development and cross‑disciplinary coordination throughout the asset lifecycle. This role oversees the implementation of BIM processes in line with ISO 19650 and ISO 15926, manages the Common Data Environment, and leads the setup, integration, and governance of Plant 3D and P&ID models to maintain consistency, quality, and data integrity. Working closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, the manager coordinates multidisciplinary 3D models, conducts clash detection, delivers construction outputs such as isometrics and BOMs, supports Digital Twin and asset information handover, and provides guidance and training to project teams across Industrial, M&M, Power, and Nuclear sectors.

Your role

  • Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes and Plant 3D modeling across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure adherence to ISO 19650 and project-specific standards.
  • Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensure accurate data exchange between stakeholders.
  • Lead the setup, development, and maintenance of Autodesk Plant 3D models for piping, instrumentation, and process systems.
  • Ensure model accuracy, version control, and adherence to project-specific standards and workflows.
  • Coordinate the creation of intelligent 3D models for piping, equipment, civil, structural, and electrical systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and other tools.
  • Facilitate integration of 3D models from Plant 3D and other applications with other platforms (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360, asset management systems).
  • Conduct clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks Manage or similar platforms.
  • Integrate data from P&IDs, Piping and other systems into the BIM environment.
  • Manage construction deliverables such as isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Provide training and support to project teams on BIM tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure model accuracy and data integrity.
  • Support digital twin and asset information delivery for operations and maintenance.

About you

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in plant design using Autodesk Plant 3D and proven experience in BIM management for Industrial, Mining and Power projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation, P&IDs, and 3D model integration.
  • Knowledge of P&ID standards, Piping material specifications and standards, Data standards including ISO 19650 and ISO 15926.
  • Familiarity with Digital Twin concepts and integration workflows.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Preferred Certifications

  • Autodesk Certified Professional (Plant 3D or Revit).
  • BIM Management or ISO 19650 certification.
