Power & Comms Assistant (Intern)

Overview

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in engineering or facilities management who excel at detailed planning, contract management, and coordination of event facilities. The Power & Comms Assistant supports project execution through surveys, inspections, documentation management, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

Your role

  • Undertake pre and post-condition surveys.
  • Complete detailed planning of facilities with contractor & building management.
  • Manage the documentation during the build-up, operational & dismantling phases.
  • Inventory Quality Check.
  • Daily progress reports.
  • Preparation for Client inspection.
  • Undertake AS-built checks and prepare mark-ups of drawings.
  • Undertake inspections of Event Facilities.
  • Manage contracts, keeping records of the minutes of meeting and assist with the final account closures.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and schematics.
  • Have an eye for detail; accuracy and attention to detail in all work and show initiative in developing new ideas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to deal professionally and confidently with a diverse range of people (Project team/Client/Contractors etc.,) at all levels.

About you

  • College of Engineering.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin or another Asian language would be a bonus but not a requirement.
