Senior Planner & Scheduler - Airport

Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Scheduler based in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Develop, maintain, and manage fully integrated baseline and detailed project schedules for airport programs

  • Ensure schedules reflect scope, sequencing, milestones, constraints, and risk allowances.

  • Apply critical path analysis and perform schedule risk assessments and impact analyses.

  • Monitor progress, update schedules regularly, and produce look-ahead programs, delay analyses, and recovery schedules.

  • Coordinate closely with project managers, planners, contractors, and consultants to validate progress and forecasts.

  • Support claims, extensions of time (EOT), and change management through robust schedule analysis.

  • Prepare clear schedule reports and dashboards for senior management and client stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior planners and schedulers and uphold best practices in planning and scheduling.

  • About you

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

    • Professional certifications in Planning or Project Controls (e.g., PSP, PMI-SP) are advantageous.

    • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in project planning and scheduling.

    • At least 5 years of experience on airport programs in the Middle East, including major international or regional airport developments.

    • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in the UAE, with demonstrated understanding of local authorities, aviation standards, and construction practices

    • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory); working knowledge of other planning tools is a plus.

    • Strong understanding of airport infrastructure works (airside, landside, terminals, utilities, MEP, systems interfaces).

    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex schedule data and identify risks and opportunities.

    • Proven experience supporting delay analysis, EOT submissions, and project controls reporting.

    • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting schedule information clearly to senior stakeholders.
