How will you make your impact?

As a Subject Matter Expert,Power Systems Studies Engineering you will bring deep expertise in power systems, analysis, modeling, and simulation to tackle the grid's most complex and meaningful challenges. This role places you at the center of shaping the future of EPC power infrastructure at Linxon, where your technical insights will directly influence how modern, resilient, and sustainable electrical networks are designed and delivered.

You will apply advanced analytical methods and system modeling to support critical studies that determine how renewable resources integrate, how substations respond to dynamic conditions, and how to strengthen grid reliability across diverse operating environments. Your work will drive key engineering decisions, elevate standards, and contribute to building the next generation of intelligent, future‑ready infrastructure.

This position empowers you to become a trusted authority—translating data, simulations, and system behavior into actionable strategies that ensure safe, efficient, and dependable power delivery. Through your contributions, you will help energize communities, support industrial growth, and advance the clean‑energy transition across the Americas.

What will you do?

  • Lead essential power system studies—load flow, short circuit, stability, harmonics—to ensure every EPC project delivers safe, reliable, and optimized grid performance.

  • Develop and validate advanced system models in PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, and Cyme, providing the high‑fidelity data that underpins accurate design decisions and successful project execution.

  • Evaluate renewable integration and emerging grid technologies, directly shaping how wind, solar, battery storage, and modernized substations connect and perform within the network.

  • Serve as a technical authority, presenting insights to clients, utilities, and internal teams to influence strategy, strengthen stakeholder confidence, and position Linxon as a leader in power systems engineering.

  • Deliver clear, high‑quality technical reports that translate complex analysis into actionable guidance, driving informed decisions across design and execution phases.

  • Enhance modeling accuracy and standards, ensuring teams operate from consistent, reliable system data that elevates engineering quality across all projects.

  • Advance Linxon's study practices, developing methodologies and best‑practice frameworks that improve efficiency, technical rigor, and long‑term capability across the Power Systems group.

Who you are?

  • You are a power systems engineer with a solid electrical engineering foundation and a passion for applying it to real‑world grid challenges.

  • You are an experienced analyst with 5+ years performing complex studies, renewable integrations, and advanced system simulations.

  • You are a credentialed—or actively pursuing—Professional Engineer who values technical excellence and professional growth.

  • You are fluent in leading modeling and simulation tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, PowerFactory, MATLAB, or MathCAD and use them to solve complex system behavior problems.

  • You are a collaborative engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary teams and brings practical, innovative solutions to project execution.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $72,400 to $138,700. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
