Overview
The Structural Group in Ontario provides structural design for all types of buildings such as Healthcare, Institutional, Recreational, Cultural, Light and Heavy Industrial, and Transportation. Our clients and projects are varied and diverse. The office is a high-energy workspace where we work closely as a team to meet the requirements and deadlines of our clients.
The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Team Lead to support the growth of the office and the team based in Toronto.
Your role
- Lead a team of structural engineers and technicians across Ontario.
- Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
- Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.
- Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase.
- Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code.
- Participate and prepare proposal documents to secure strategic opportunities.
- Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships and conduct business development activities.

About you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO.
- Three (3) years of relevant team management experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of previous experience as a structural engineer in the industry.
- Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
