Overview
The Technical Director, Retube Tooling Systems is a senior leadership role within our nuclear engineering organization, providing strategic and technical direction to advance Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) capabilities. This position sits within the tooling and engineering function and leads the development of innovative, high‑performance nuclear life extension tooling. The role offers the opportunity to shape industry‑leading solutions for C6 CANDU refurbishment programs while building and sustaining a high‑performing, multidisciplinary engineering team.
Your Role
- To provide strategic leadership for the development and modernization of Retube Tooling System capabilities in alignment with long‑term OEM objectives.
- To lead the design and execution of advanced nuclear tooling solutions with a focus on performance, maintainability, and safety.
- To build, mentor, and sustain a technically competent, multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians.
- To promote and embed a strong nuclear safety culture aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- To strengthen engagement with customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders through senior‑level technical leadership.
- To oversee departmental budgets, resource planning, and adherence to engineering governance and quality frameworks.
- To drive innovation, continuous improvement, succession planning, and knowledge transfer across the organization.
