AtkinsRéalis certified as a Great Place to Work in the United States for the second year running

When nine out of every ten of your employees say you’re a great place to work, it’s not a slogan. It’s something people actually experience.

AtkinsRéalis has been certified as a Great Place to Work in the United States for the second consecutive year, a recognition based entirely on anonymous employee feedback through the Great Place to Work Trust Index Survey.

The Great Place to Work Institute has surveyed over 100 million employees worldwide since 1992. Their certification isn’t awarded by a panel or based on policies on paper. It comes directly from the people who work here, reflecting their real experience of our culture, leadership, and how it feels to show up every day.

What our people said

Across the US, more than 5,700 professionals working from 90+ offices told us what they value most about building their career at AtkinsRéalis. The themes that came through - trust, collaboration, flexibility, and a genuine sense of purpose are the same things candidates ask about when they’re deciding where to work.

“Earning this certification for the second consecutive year is a testament to the pride, dedication, passion and competitive spirit our people bring every day,” said Steve Morriss, President of the US, Latin America and Minerals & Metals regions. “Their commitment to integrity, collaboration and excellence not only propels our business forward, but it also creates a culture that our clients and partners trust.”

A culture built by the people in it

What makes a workplace genuinely great isn’t a single initiative or programme. It’s the accumulation of everyday experiences, feeling trusted, having your voice heard, seeing your career grow, and knowing you belong.

At AtkinsRéalis in the US, that shows up in several ways.

Our Employee Resource Groups bring together more than 2,500 active members across communities focused on the experiences of Black and African-American colleagues, emerging professionals, Hispanic colleagues, LGBTQ+ colleagues, neurodivergent colleagues, veterans, and women. These aren’t token groups, they’re employee-led networks that shape how we work and how we support each other.

Through the AtkinsRéalis Foundation and our scholarship programme awarding 50 scholarships per year, our people give back to the communities we serve, opening doors for students pursuing STEM careers and helping build the next generation of engineers, project managers, and creative problem solvers.

And through locally led Employee Activity Committees across the country, people connect with their offices and colleagues in ways that go beyond the work itself.

“Our people’s shared voices guide our progress,” said Courtney Reid, Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “Their daily contributions are what make AtkinsRéalis a place where people can build meaningful careers and thrive both personally and professionally.”

Part of a global picture

The US certification sits alongside Great Place to Work recognitions in Brazil, India, and the Middle East, a pattern that reflects something consistent about how AtkinsRéalis operates, regardless of geography.

Whether you’re an engineer in Houston, a project manager in Tampa, or a graduate starting your career in Denver, the culture you experience is shaped by the same values: collaboration, trust, and a belief that the people who do the work should have a real say in how it feels to do it.

What this means if you’re considering joining us

Certifications matter because they’re evidence. Not marketing language, not promises, evidence from the people already here that this is a place where careers grow, people are supported, and the work makes a difference.

If you’re exploring what’s next in your career, whether that’s in water, power and energy, transportation, nuclear, or any of the disciplines we deliver across, we’d love to hear from you.
