Under the direction of the 3D solutions business manager, the digital model designer (BIM/ PLM) participates in the development of 3D digital models necessary for the realization of PLM/ BIM collaborative projects.
The candidate's'expected activities are to design parametric parts in 3D as well as assemblies of civil structures with Smartplant and other engineering tools. The Digital Model Designer is responsible for all or part of the production of 3D Digital Models and their use for deliverables and other digital data necessary for a design in the field of civil engineering.
Your role
Responsible for the construction of 3D digital models in accordance with pre-established protocols and conventions in an internal and/or external collaboration approach.
Ensure, interpret and translate the technical constraints on the basis of principle plans, 2D design plans or point clouds into digital models. Use proposals and drawings from designers for each discipline requested (civil, mechanical, geotechnical, etc.).
Participation in the adaptation of techniques, improvements and innovations in 3D modeling activities.
It brings the qualities necessary for the proper evolution of the digital model and offers compromises that combine 3D feasibility and technique.
He participates in building and/or updating existing catalogues/ families.
He works in project mode and participates in meetings to assist the coordinator on model subjects.
Identify inconsistencies in modeling requirements.
Participate in the integration of PLM/BIM into the design process.
Assists with software technical support as needed.
The modeller produces, from the model, the various deliverables necessary for the extraction of quantities, required information or assembly of technical files depending on the phase of the studies.

About you
Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a digital model designer or have significant professional experience acquired in these same fields.
Must be able to secure Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada.
The candidate must be proficient in 3D design tools such as Smartplant, Revit and Tekla.
With an analytical and team spirit, the candidate has satisfactory experience in modeling digital models, extracting data and producing deliverables from the model.
Curious and rigorous, the candidate masters modeling tools (3D, PLM/BIM, etc.) and the production of parametric families. Having a sense of service, he is able to extract data from models and produce digital data.
Communicate on the evolution of new technologies and techniques.
Bilingual *
* This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.

Expected compensation for this role is $100,200- $137,700. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
