Overview

Do you want to transform the mechanical team in Canada and contribute to innovation on major projects? Join our team to lead standardization, operational excellence, and strategic market development.
This key role is part of creating an operational excellence group within the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) practice.

Your mission will be to:

  • Increase knowledge sharing among regional teams to strengthen collaboration and synergy.
  • Optimize our tools and processes to improve deliverable quality and reduce timelines.
  • Develop an innovation roadmap by integrating technological and BIM solutions into our practices.
  • Identify and develop discipline champions across Canada to support mentoring and technical consistency.
  • Eliminate recurring issues and time losses by simplifying processes and automating repetitive tasks.

Your role

Strategic Development and Service Offerings:

  • Define and implement strategies to grow our key markets (Transportation, Energy, Infrastructure).
  • Coordinate the preparation of major service proposals for the M&E practice across Canada.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and optimize team growth in key regions.

Standardization and Innovation:

  • Harmonize practices for the mechanical discipline across Canada (specifications, legends, calculation notes) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with BIM leadership for Mechanical & Electrical to integrate innovative solutions and improve design and monitoring methods.
  • Ensure technological and regulatory watch regarding code, standards, and sector innovations.

Technical Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Act as the lead technical expert in mechanics for large-scale projects.
  • Help improve the quality and compliance of deliverables with standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and inspire engineers and technicians.

Collaboration and Outreach:

  • Promote knowledge sharing and synergy among teams.
  • Represent AtkinsRéalis at events, conferences, and technical committees.

Operational Support:

  • Contribute to the launch of major mechanical projects.
  • Take on project management or design roles on major mandates.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Member of the provincial engineering association.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in complex mechanical projects.
  • Recognized leadership, strategic vision, and ability to influence.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); French is an asset.
