Due to our continuing expansion, we currently have an opportunity for a Senior Highways Engineer on multi-disciplinary offshore executed projects from Cairo, Egypt.
Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.
Responsibilities:
You will be an Engineer within the Highways team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects. You will be responsible for:
- Project based supervision of designers and drafting staff.
- Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers.
- Delivering projects to time and budget.
- Liaising with Canada/US/UK/ME based customers in a responsive and client focused manner.
The Individual:
The successful candidate will need to:
- Be highly self-motivated and ambitious.
- Be able to lead a small team.
- Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers.
- Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment.
- The position is to be based in Bangalore.

About you
Essential:
- Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College.
- Have relevant experience in the region of around 8 to 12 years in consultancy business working on highways and related features.
- Experienced user of Civil 3D Open Roads Design, MicroStation, AutoCAD.
- Experience of working on AASHTO, DMRB, TAC.
- Experience in implementing quality standards and procedures.
- A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English & French (must).
- Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects.
- Be able to lead/guide a small team in project delivery.
Desirable:
- Holds a Master's degree in Transportation / Highway Engineering discipline.
- Expert in the use of Civil 3D / ORD design software and AutoCAD / MicroStation.
- Experience of the design of grade separated junctions.
- Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks.
- Working knowledge of UK highway design standards.
