Overview
Provide expert supervision of the planning, installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of turbine-generator units within a power plant environment.
Your Role
Site Planning and Coordination:
- Coordinate technical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
- Participate in risk analysis and propose contingency plans.
Execution Supervision:
- Lead the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment in compliance with quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Monitor testing, start-up, grid synchronization/injection, and optimize settings.
- Manage project progress, analyze budget variances, and prepare follow-up reports.
Leadership & Safety:
- Supervise, train, and mentor on-site teams, with a strong focus on safety and best practices.
- Conduct site meetings, communicate with stakeholders, and provide regular reports to management.

About You
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field (Engineer or Technologist).
- 5 to 10 years of experience supervising industrial sites, ideally with turbine-generator units.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of turbine-generator equipment, instruments, protection systems & automation.
- Good understanding of electrical codes (CSA C22.1) and associated safety standards.
- Ability to perform technical reviews, read plans and schematics, and oversee installation & testing.
Managerial Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple activities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the field.
Languages & Mobility:
- Professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Valid driver's license.
Certifications and Memberships:
- Membership with OIQ (engineers) or equivalent is an asset.
- ASP cards or site safety certification required.
