Overview
As a Wastewater Modeller, you will manage a diverse range of sewerage-related projects that deliver sustainable benefits to communities and the environment for both public and private sector clients.
Your role
- Manage the project team and client relationships.
- Clarify expectations and outcome measures to meet client requirements and deliver successful projects.
- Support recruitment, staff development, and business growth in new regions.
- Technical Leadership:
- Supervise modellers in integrating hydraulic modelling (1D–2D) with engineering aspects.
- Train modellers to understand engineering constraints and opportunities to ensure realistic model outputs.
- Review technical work including model build, verification, evaluation, feasibility, optioneering, and outline design.
- Take accountability for high-standard deliverables by adopting various check/review methods and documentation practices.
- Influence delivery teams to adopt smarter methods by developing automation tools and ensuring high quality.
- Liaise with clients on a daily basis.
- Build strong internal and external client relationships through value addition.

About you
- Bachelor'S or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Geography.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in hydraulic design or modelling.
- Preferably fully chartered or close to undergoing the chartership interview with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge or experience with tools such as InfoWorks ICM, MapInfo, QGIS, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, MicroDrainage, or similar.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and capable of working under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to new or challenging work as per business requirements.
