Oracle EBS IT Application Support Team Lead – P2P

This is a hands on IT application support role focused on Oracle E Business Suite R12 within the Procure to Pay (P2P) domain (AP, Purchasing, iProcurement, Payments).The role is actively involved in functional issue investigation, incident resolution, and troubleshooting and ensuring system stability.
In addition to hands on support activities, the role includes team coordination and guidance, such as escalation handling, task coordination, and knowledge sharing, while remaining primarily hands on. This role does not require extensive prior people management experience.

Your role

As an EBS Support Team Lead (P2P), you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance users and process stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations, proactive communication, and a trusted support partnership.

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of P2P support analysts, ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery and effective prioritization of daily work.

  • Guide team members to achieve results, supporting hiring, retention, and talent development through regular meetings, feedback, and development actions.

  • Provide functional support for Oracle EBS R12 across the entire Procure to Pay flow (AP, Purchasing, iProcurement, Payments) with the ability to troubleshoot cross‑module impacts.

  • Manage incidents and requests in alignment with defined SLAs, ensuring accurate ticket updates, clear ownership, and visibility of progress through to resolution

  • Act as the escalation point for P2P tickets; lead investigations, perform in‑depth root‑cause analysis, and drive permanent corrective actions across P2P processes, transactions, and accounting flows.

  • Monitor daily system processes, configurations, and integrity checks/integrations to ensure ongoing stability.

  • Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring stability, timely processing, and effective issue mitigation.

  • Coordinate and participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing, and validation for patches, upgrades, and system enhancements.

  • Maintain high‑quality documentation, including functional requirements, test scripts/scenarios, troubleshooting guides, ticket updates, and knowledge base content.

  • Monitor and analyze recurring issues, identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate actively with DBAs, developers, infrastructure teams, and external partners; manage Oracle Support Service Requests (SRs) where required.

About you

Experience & Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle EBusiness Suite R12 within the Procure to Pay (P2P) process area

  • Strong functional expertise in at least one major P2P module, with working knowledge across all AP, Purchasing, iProcurement, Payments, Expenses

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of end‑to‑end Oracle EBS business processes, with the ability to analyze requirements, identify process impacts, and support improvements

  • Leads teams through coaching, prioritization, and escalation management to ensure consistent, high‑quality support delivery

  • Exercises sound judgement and appropriate decision‑making authority to own outcomes and drive end‑to‑end resolution of issues and solutions

  • Experience working within ServiceNow and Azure DevOps, with a strong understanding of ITSM / ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request Management)

  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for troubleshooting (log analysis, data validation, interface monitoring).

  • Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and troubleshoot effectively

  • Works independently to prioritize complex workloads, manage competing demands, and handle escalations effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, Economics, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Fluent English & Romanian required; French is an advantage
